Our Patron Saint

CCF recognizes the prayers of Mother Teresa as effective for the needs of special intentions to all our missions. “If we pray, we will believe; if we believe, we will love; if we love, we will serve.” We invite you to join us in prayer invoking the spirit of blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta, CCF’s Patron Saint:

Make us worthy, Lord, to serve our fellowmen throughout the world who live and die in poverty and hunger.  Give them through our hands this day their daily bread, and by our understanding love, give them peace and joy. Amen” – by Mother Teresa, from “Prayers for Today”

“Help me to spread Thy fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with Thy spirit and love. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of Thine. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Thy presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me but only Jesus. Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as you shine, so to shine as to be a light to others.” – by Mother Teresa, from video “Everyone Everywhere”

“People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motive. Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.  Succeed anyway.  If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.  What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.  If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.  Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.  Give your best anyway. In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.” –  by Mother Teresa

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.” – Mother Teresa

“Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work.” – Mother Teresa

“If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.” – Mother Teresa

“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” – Mother Teresa

“Our life of poverty is as necessary as the work itself. Only in heaven will we see how much we owe to the poor for helping us to love God better because of them.”  – Mother Teresa

“It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.” – Mother Teresa

“When a poor person dies of hunger, it has not happened because God did not take care of him or her. It has happened because neither you nor I wanted to give that person what he or she needed.” – Mother Teresa

“The miracle is not that we do this work, but that we are happy to do it.” – Mother Teresa
